ABOUT THE MINISTRY:
MISSION:
We are a non–profit 501 (c) (3), Christian humanitarian organization, training and mobilizing Kingdom of God advocates to carry the missio dei (mission of God) into the uttermost parts of the world doing our part to eradicate poverty, injustice, hunger, and suffering and to share God’s love and his word thereby bringing hope to all people.
We serve all people and nations regardless of age, race, religion, gender, or ethnicity. Our primary focus is children, families, and communities that are most extremely affected by poverty and suffering and in areas where the Good News of Jesus Christ has yet to be heard.
VISION STATEMENT:
Food for the hungry, Housing for the homeless, Joy for the suffering, Comfort for those who mourn, Liberty for the captives, Deliverance for the bound, Healing to the sick, Salvation, Life, and Hope for all God’s people.
GOALS:
CLOTHING: In 2007, 2008 and 2009, Trumpet of Hope provided clothes, shoes, and toiletries to many of the orphans and local youth. We need your help to continue these efforts.
FOOD: In 2009, sponsored a food drive for Nakwamekwi villagers. Much more is needed. Your donation of $30 can feed a family for a month. In 2009 and 2010 bought herds of 4 goats each for 19 families. For $50 you can buy a goat for a family today.
SHELTER: In 2007 donated $1000 to the start-up of a local orphanage which is only able to house 20 orphans. There are hundreds still sleeping in the sand with no mom or dad to hug them good night or say "I love you". You can help Trumpet of Hope support the orphans in Lodwar, Kenya. Bishop Kaaleng's mud hut was utterly destroyed during a flood in 2010. Trumpet of Hope donated $2000 to build a permanent home for his family.
SANITATION: In 2006 designed and built a kitchen allowing women to stand upright to cook and wash instead of bending over the traditional way. It also allowed for food storage in closed cabinets rather than on the floor.
In 2007 built a community toilet and bath house to improve the sanitary conditions.
WATER: In 2011 - Dug a well in Namwakmekwi village Lodwar, Kenya. Lodwar is an arid desert land where drought and famine is severe causing children to go days without food and water. Mothers and children have to walk miles to find water on a daily basis and then wait hours in line. This well provides free water to hundreds in the village.

Watch Reverand Joy Karanick on "The Call of Freedom". Interpreted by: Rev. Maged Dakdouk |
ABOUT THE MINISTER:
EVANGELIST AND FOREIGN MISSIONARY
REV. JOY KARANICK
AUTHOR: PROMISES PROMISES
BORN: May 30, 1959

Joy is an Ambassador for Christ. Her life’s journey has proven that success can only come from God. Joy strayed from God as an adolescent. She felt the Lord’s call to ministry when she was only sixteen years old, yet she fought that call for almost thirty years. At the peak of her seemingly successful career, she took a downward spiral into a depression so deep, so impassable that she could only escape by yielding to the call that she had long ignored. It was during her time of brokenness that she realized that she was nothing without God.
Joy was born in Albertville, Alabama but calls Birmingham “home”. She now resides in San Diego, CA. She is the only daughter of five children born of Pastor Billy and Betty Karanick. Her father currently pastors at the Church of the Nazarene in Stanton, California.
Her journey afforded her the opportunity to travel 50 states and 30 countries. Joy had a successful career in the United States Navy as a Registered Nurse where she worked her way through the ranks, ultimately to achieve the rank of Commander. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Holy Names College in Oakland and later her Master’s in Management from Troy State University. Joy graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary with a Master’s in Theology and a Master’s in Cross-Cultural Studies in June, 2006. She is currently working on her Doctorate of Ministry.
God has used her powerfully as an Evangelist in an ecumenical call to the nations. She has preached in African American churches, Egyptian and Jordanian churches, Filipino, Korean, conferences, assisted living homes, and various denominations including Presbyterian, United Methodist, Pentecostal, Nazarene, Baptist, and Catholic. Her foreign mission travels include the Philippines, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. She held Bible study every week for six years to the Hispanic and African American children in her previous neighborhood
Joy is the author of PROMISES PROMISES which provides the details of her testimony and gives witness to the fact that God has a plan for each of us and will fulfill that plan until the day of Jesus Christ. Joy also appeared on three occasions as guest for an Orange County local Time Warner Cable show---Reflections. Her first appearance was to proclaim Jesus through the telling of her testimony and her other appearances is a two part series about her recent mission in Kenya and Sudan. She now is the host of "THE CALL OF FREEDOM" television program which broadcasts on "THE WAY TV", an Arabic channel.
Joy founded "TRUMPET OF HOPE IN 2007. She recognizes that each part of her life has been training ground for what is yet to come. She knows that somehow God is combining all of the multiple experiences and will continue to use them for His Glory. She has come to the place in God where she relies totally on Him to provide for her and direct her way.
She considers herself now a COMMANDER IN GOD’S ARMY. A WOMAN WARRIOR, A PRAYER WARRIOR, A FIGHTE, so that others can come to know Jesus Christ and His love.
